This Week In The Bookshop – Great Books You Might Have Forgotten About

I have a running list in my phone of books I see and want to read or recommendations from friends.  However, when I walk into our awesome bookshop and take in the Indie Bestsellers for the week or the table of just released books I forget all about my list and pick up the new release.  Judy #1 (now that we have 2 Judys’ here) and I were discussing what to do in the alcove now that the summer reading had moved out and we decided to fill the shelves with great books that have been out for a while.  Those books on our lists that we have not yet read or else have read and figured they might still be on your lists.  Stop by the alcove at the front of the shop and check them out.  Here are just a few examples of what we have pulled:

Girl With A Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier

The Road by Cormac McCarthy

Let The Great World Spin by Colum McCann

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
